Biography

Pamela Úbeda is the owner and principal of Coast + Beam Architecture, a boutique studio specializing in Modern West Coast Residential Architecture. She holds a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of British Columbia as well as a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Victoria.

Pamela holds memberships at several institutions including the Architectural Institute of BC (AIBC), Interior Design Institute of BC (IDIBC), Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and the Living Building Institute (ILFI). Throughout her career she has been involved in a wide range of cultural, commercial and residential architecture projects both locally and internationally.

Growing up on the West Coast, she naturally developed a passion for wood and it’s relevance in West Coast modern architecture. She shares her passion through close relationships with clients and colleagues as well as through speaking engagements.
